Contacts

The people your CRM knows about, as cards or a table, with search, filters by group, status and date, and bulk actions.

What this screen is for

Contacts are the individual people behind your leads and deals. The list can be read as cards or as a table, and each entry carries the person's name, their phone shown with its dial code, their email and their status. Where a contact is linked to a customer, that customer's group appears as a coloured badge; the badge drives a filter and reflects the group's own colour.

Filters cover the customer group, the contact status, and a date range, alongside a search box. Deleted contacts can be shown or isolated so they can be restored. Contacts can be assigned to a team member, imported from a spreadsheet or phone export, and exported. Any contact custom fields marked to show in lists appear here as extra columns and filters.

When to use it

Use it as the address book: to find a person, to correct their details, or to assign a set of contacts to a colleague.

What you see on this screen

Three tiles head the page: Total Contacts, Companies and This Month. In table view the columns are:

  • Name, Email, Phone and Company.
  • Group — the customer group, in the group's own colour.
  • Status — where the person stands with you.
  • Rating.
  • Added By and Assigned To.
  • Then one column for each contact custom field marked to show in lists, and the row actions.

Card view carries the same details plus the job title, a WhatsApp button beside the phone, when the contact was added and by whom, an inline assignee picker, and a Convert to customer button where the person is not one yet.

Filters and actions

Show Filters opens a search over name, email and phone, a Customer Group list, a From Date and To Date, and an input for each custom field shown in lists. Apply Filters runs them, Reset clears them.

The deleted toggle cycles through showing deleted contacts alongside the live ones, then only deleted ones, so they can be restored. Import brings contacts in from a spreadsheet or phone export, Export downloads the rows your filters produce, and ticking rows allows a bulk delete.

Status values

  • active — a live contact.
  • inactive — kept on file but not being worked.
  • prospect — a potential customer.
  • converted — has become a customer.

Related

  • Accounts — the contacts who have become customers
  • Leads — enquiries raised against these contacts
