What this screen is for
This is the record of borrowings and their repayment. Summary cards show how many loans are active, the total still outstanding, the amount repaid this month, the number of instalments coming up and how many are overdue. The list can be searched by loan name or number and filtered by status, and each loan opens on its own schedule of payments.
When to use it
Check it before a payment run so nothing falls overdue, and when you need the current outstanding figure for a loan rather than the original amount borrowed.
What you see on this screen
Five cards: Active Loans, Outstanding, Paid This Month, Upcoming EMIs and Overdue. The table carries:
- Loan — the loan name, which opens it, with the loan number and lender beneath, and a Deleted tag where it is in the trash
- Type — Equated Installment (principal plus interest), Interest Only (principal at the end), Bullet (a lump sum at the end) or Open-Ended / Demand Loan (no fixed tenure)
- Principal — the amount originally borrowed, with the annual interest rate beneath
- Outstanding — the principal still owed, with the instalment amount beneath, or No fixed EMI
- Status — Active, Closed, Defaulted or Restructured
- Actions — view, edit and delete, or restore and permanently delete on a deleted loan
An Upcoming EMIs panel sits beside the list. Each entry names the loan, the due date, the instalment total and its split between principal and interest, with View and Pay Now. It can be set to All, Overdue or Upcoming, and links through to the full upcoming instalment list.
