Call Log

Every call logged against a CRM record, with counts of incoming and outgoing calls, an average duration, and the outcome of each call.

What this screen is for

This records the calls your team makes and takes. Four tiles count the total calls, incoming, outgoing, and the average duration. The table shows the call type with a direction icon, the record it relates to, the team member it belongs to, the date and time, the duration and the outcome. A filter narrows the list to incoming, outgoing or missed calls.

Calls are logged after the fact with the Log Call action, so the log reflects what was actually done rather than what was planned.

When to use it

Use it to review calling activity across the team, to check that outcomes are being recorded, and to find the history of conversations with a particular record.

What you see on this screen

Four tiles head the page: Total Calls, Incoming, Outgoing and Avg Duration.

  • Type — Incoming, Outgoing or Missed, with a direction arrow.
  • Related To — the record the call was logged against.
  • Assigned Employee — whose call it was.
  • Date & Time — when it took place.
  • Duration — how long it lasted.
  • Outcome — what came of it, or a dash.
  • Actions — edit and delete.

Filters and actions

One filter, Call Type, offering All Types, Incoming, Outgoing and Missed, with Reset beside it. It works over the calls already loaded rather than fetching afresh. Log Call records one after the event.

Status values

Type is incoming, outgoing or missed.

Outcome is one of answered, voicemail, no-answer, busy, callback-requested, interested or not-interested. The last three are the ones worth being disciplined about: they are what turn a call log into a list of people to ring back.
