What this screen is for
A quick start guide for a company new to the system, laid out as four steps: set up the company's basic details, invite your team, bring in your existing data, and raise your first invoice. Beneath that summary, each step is explained at more length.
When to use it
Read it in your first days on the system, and point new colleagues at it rather than explaining the same ground yourself each time. It is deliberately a path through setup rather than a reference work — once you are up and running, the documentation and training screens are the better places to look things up.
What you see on this screen
A banner opens the page, followed by four numbered cards giving the shape of the work at a glance: Setup Company (configure basic info), Add Users (invite your team), Import Data (migrate existing data) and Start Using (create your first invoice).
Beneath them, Step-by-step setup guide takes each stage in turn. Every step carries a short explanation, a checklist of the specific things to do, and a button that takes you straight to the screen where you do them. The first two read:
- Complete company profile — company name, logo and contact details; GST number, PAN and tax registration; the financial year and accounting periods; billing and shipping addresses. The button opens Settings.
- Set up chart of accounts — review the default chart, add any accounts particular to your business, and set opening balances.
The later steps follow the same pattern, each ending at the screen that does the work rather than describing it.
Filters and actions
There is nothing to filter and nothing to save: the page is a guide, and its only controls are the buttons that take you to the screens each step names.
Work the steps in order where you can. Several of them depend on the ones before — the chart of accounts wants the financial year settled first, and importing data wants the company profile in place — so a step taken out of turn tends to come back around.
