What this screen is for
The audit trail of price changes. Each entry records when a price changed, for which item and which price group, what it moved from and to, how the change was made — a matrix edit, a bulk fill or an import — and who made it.
When to use it
Use it when a price on a document is not the one you expected, or when a customer queries a change they have noticed. Neither the pricing matrix nor the item record can answer that question, because both only show the price as it stands today. This is the only screen that remembers what it used to be.
What you see on this screen
One row per change, newest first:
- When — the date and time the price changed.
- Product — the item affected.
- Group — which price group the change was in. The same item can move in one tier and not another.
- Old → New — the two figures side by side, the old one greyed. A first-time price shows a dash on the left.
- Source — how it was made: Matrix edit for a cell typed by hand, Bulk fill for a column filled from a group rule, or Import for a spreadsheet upload. A change nobody remembers making is usually a bulk fill or an import.
- By — who made it.
Where nothing has changed yet, the screen says that price changes from the matrix, bulk fill and imports will appear here — so an empty list means no price has moved, not that the history is missing.
Filters and actions
Five controls: a Product picker, a Price Group filter (All Groups by default), a Source filter (All Sources, Matrix edit, Bulk fill, Import), and From and To dates.
The usual way to settle a query is to filter to the one item and the one group, then read the rows in order.
This screen is read-only. Nothing here can be edited or undone; a price is corrected on the Pricing Matrix, and that correction becomes another row in this log.
