What this screen is for
The regular quantities each customer on a round takes — two litres of milk daily, a crate of water weekly. You pick a round, add a column for each product it carries, and enter the standing quantity per customer. These are the figures the daily delivery log is pre-filled from.
When to use it
Set them when a customer joins a round or changes their regular order. When a customer goes away, put them on hold for a date range rather than deleting the order: deliveries stop and then resume on their own, and the quantities do not have to be typed back in from memory.
What you see on this screen
Two controls sit above the grid. Delivery Round picks the round you are editing — nothing appears until one is chosen. Products (columns) lists the products already set up as columns, each removable, with a dropdown for adding another.
The grid then gives one row per customer on the round, in delivery order:
- # — the delivery position, which is the order the driver works.
- Customer — the name, with their area beneath.
- One column per product — a box holding that customer's standing quantity for that product. Leave it empty for a product they do not take.
- Hold — either a button to pause that customer, or, where a pause is already set, the date range it covers with a cross to resume early.
A pause is the right tool for a customer going away: deliveries stop on the from date and start again on the to date, and the quantities are untouched throughout.
Filters and actions
Save writes the grid; nothing is stored until you press it. Manage Rounds and New Round reach the rounds themselves. Print Run Sheet produces the sheet the driver carries, in delivery order, for the round on screen.
Where no rounds exist yet, the screen says so and offers to create one, since standing orders cannot be set without a round to hang them on.
