What this screen is for
This is where a document to be signed begins. You can upload a PDF, start from a template, or have one drafted for you: describe what you need and a draft is generated, or attach a photo or scan of an existing document and it is recreated. Drafting this way uses AI credits from your wallet.
A generated draft is shown for review before anything is sent, and can be discarded or saved as a template for next time. When you start from a template, a banner names it and shows the recipients and fields it expects, and says when details have been prefilled for a particular person.
When to use it
Whenever something needs a signature. If you send the same document repeatedly, save it as a template the first time and start from the template thereafter.
What you see on this screen
The left of the page is where the document comes from:
- Draft with AI — a box to describe the document you need, an option to attach a photo or scan of an existing one, and a note that it uses AI credits from your wallet. Once generated, the draft is shown for review with Save as template and Discard beside it.
- Or Upload a PDF — a drop zone taking a PDF of up to 25MB.
The right is the detail panel:
- Title — required.
- Document Type — required: Contract, Proposal, NDA, Agreement, Partnership or Custom.
- Signing Order — Sequential (one by one) or Parallel (all at once).
- Expires On — the date the document lapses if not signed.
- Message to Recipients — optional text included in the signing email.
- Fill from records — an employee picker that fills the employee fields and adds them as a signer, plus optional Project and Client pickers.
Where you arrived from a template, a banner at the top names it, counts the recipients and lists the fields it expects, and says when details have been prefilled for a particular person.
