Projects Dashboard

A single view of the project portfolio: how many projects are running, project income and expenses, net profit or loss, and the state of tasks, hours and milestones.

What this screen is for

The dashboard gathers the headline numbers for every project in one place. The top row counts total projects, split into active, done and on hold, alongside project income with its change on last month and the net profit or loss with total expenses beneath it. A second row of tiles links through to active and completed projects, tasks, hours logged, milestones and the outstanding amount.

Below that, a chart plots project income against expenses over twelve months, a second shows how projects are distributed across statuses, and a task-board panel breaks work into to do, in progress, completed and overdue with a completion rate.

When to use it

Open it for a weekly or monthly read on whether the portfolio is profitable and where work is piling up, then follow the tiles into the detail.

What you see on this screen

  • Total Projects — with active, done and on-hold counts beneath; opens the project list.
  • Project Income — with the change against last month as a percentage.
  • Net Profit / Loss — with total expenses beneath.
  • A row of six tiles: Active, Completed, Tasks, Hours Logged, Milestones and Outstanding. The first two open the project list already filtered.
  • Project Income vs Expenses (12 Months) — twelve months across the bottom, amounts up the side, with Income, Expenses and Profit plotted together.
  • Status Distribution — a ring splitting the portfolio into Active, Completed, On Hold and Cancelled.
  • Task Board — To Do, In Progress, Completed and Overdue, a Completion Rate bar, and estimated against actual hours.
  • Time Tracking — Total Hours, Billable, Invoiced and Uninvoiced.
  • Milestones and Budget — completed and pending milestones, a warning for overdue ones, then Total Budget, Spent and Utilization.
  • Project Invoicing — Total Invoices, Paid, Outstanding and Overdue, with a Collection Rate bar.
  • Upcoming Milestones, Top Performing Projects and Needs Attention, which names each project's issue and how much of its budget is used.
  • All Projects — a table of Project, Customer, Status, Period, Income, Expense and P&L.

Filters and actions

Nothing on this page is filtered; it always describes the whole portfolio. New Project and P&L Report sit at the top, each panel has a View All, and a row of quick links closes the page: All Projects, Task Board, Time Entries, Weekly Timesheet, Milestones and Project P&L.
