What this screen is for
This form holds a hall for a function. You choose the venue and the customer, then the from date and, for a function running over more than one day, the to date — left blank it books a single day. As you choose, the screen checks the dates: if any are already taken it lists them with who holds them, and if they are free it confirms how many dates the booking will occupy. Where a hall's day runs past midnight, it explains that the final date is the morning after.
When to use it
Use it when a customer commits to a date. If those dates were booked and cancelled before, the screen says so — a cancelled date can be booked again, so this informs rather than blocks.
What you see on this screen
Venue and Dates takes the Hall, the Customer (searchable by name, phone or email, with the option to add a new one), the From date (required) and the To date, which can be left blank for a single day. As soon as a hall and dates are chosen the screen checks availability and reports back: the dates already taken and who holds them, or confirmation that it is available and how many dates the booking will occupy.
The Function takes the Function type (offered from your configured list, but free text is accepted), Expected guests — with the hall's seating capacity shown beside it — and the applicant's guardian and occupation.
Bride and Groom is filled in only for a wedding, taking each party's name, guardian, Aadhaar, date of birth and address.
Charges takes the Rent, prefilled from the hall's default, and the Security deposit, which is refundable and held rather than charged. The Booking value is the rent alone; the deposit is deliberately not part of the total. A Notes box closes the form.
Filters and actions
Confirm Booking saves, and is unavailable while the chosen dates conflict. Where no halls have been set up, the form says a hall must be added first. Back to calendar returns to the month view.
