Email Configuration

Set up how the company sends email, and connect Google, Microsoft or Apple accounts for two-way calendar and email synchronisation.

What this screen is for

The upper section manages calendar and email sync: you connect a Google, Microsoft Outlook or Apple account, and each connected account is listed with its address and whether it is syncing calendar, email or both. The rest of the page covers the email sending settings used for invoices and other outgoing messages.

Why it matters

Anything the system sends on your behalf - invoices, reminders, notifications - depends on this being right, and a misconfigured or disconnected account means messages stop leaving without an obvious error on the screen that triggered them. A connected account also grants the app access to that mailbox or calendar, so review the connections when someone leaves.

What you see on this screen

Calendar and Email Sync describes itself as two-way synchronisation with Google and Microsoft services. Each connected account is a card showing the address, an Active marker, and badges for Calendar and Email depending on what it syncs, plus Privacy Level, Last Synced, Connected On and a Disconnect button. With none connected, the page invites you to connect a Google, Outlook or Apple account.

Current Email Provider names the provider messages currently go out through, flagged Active, Default or Verified as applicable. Select Email Provider lets you choose a different one, and Microsoft Outlook can be connected by sign-in rather than by typing a password.

Email Configuration holds From Email Address and From Name, both required, followed by the settings the chosen provider needs - host, port, credentials or an API token - and the tick box Enable this email configuration for sending invoices.

A Need Help panel gives provider-specific notes for Outlook, ZeptoMail and SendGrid.

Filters and actions

There are no filters. Save Configuration stores the settings. Send Test Email asks for an address and sends one message so you can confirm the setup works before relying on it. Revert to Laabam Default Email switches sending back to the built-in account. Disconnecting a synced account stops calendar and email synchronisation for it and asks you to confirm.
