Muster Roll (Form XVI)

Produces the statutory muster roll for a principal employer and month, in the Form XVI layout, with a day-by-day attendance grid per worker.

What this screen is for

This screen generates the muster roll prescribed by the Karnataka Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1975. You choose a principal employer, optionally narrow to a single work order, pick a month and generate. The result is a grid with one row per worker and one column per day, followed by totals for paid days, public holidays, absences, weekly offs, the overall total and overtime hours. It can be exported to Excel.

When to use it

Monthly, once attendance for the period is settled, since the grid is drawn straight from it. If no principal employers are set up, the screen says so and points you at the screen that creates them.

What you see on this screen

The register is headed by the principal employer's name and the month, with a line counting the workers and giving the legend.

  • # — the serial number, which stays in place as you scroll sideways.
  • CSLV — the worker's contract labour identification code, or a dash.
  • Name — the worker.
  • One column per day of the month, numbered 1 upward, holding that day's code.
  • Paid — days counted as worked and paid.
  • PH — public holidays.
  • AB — days absent.
  • WO — weekly offs.
  • Total — all days accounted for.
  • OT — overtime hours.

A footer row gives the number present on each day, and the grand totals for every column.

Filters and actions

  • Principal Employer — required. Nothing generates until one is chosen.
  • Work Order (optional) — narrows to a single order; the list offers only orders under the chosen establishment.
  • Month — required, and defaulted to the current month.
  • Generate — builds the register. It stays disabled until an employer and month are set.
  • Excel — appears once a register exists, and exports what is on screen.

Status values

The codes in the grid are:

  • P — present.
  • AB — absent.
  • WO — weekly off.
  • PH — public holiday.
  • SL, PL, EL — leave, under whichever leave type applied.
