Laabam Agent

Deploy and manage the local sync agents that connect on-site equipment such as biometric devices and Tally to your company, and see which machines are running which version.

What this screen is for

The card at the top shows the latest published agent release with its notes, size and a download link. Below it, every agent registered to this company is listed with its name and hostname, the system and version it is running, its location, its status and when it was last active. An agent running behind the latest release is flagged with an update badge. A wizard walks you through deploying a new agent.

When to use it

Come here when setting up a new site, when an on-site device has stopped feeding data in, or to check which machines are out of date after a release.

What you see on this screen

The page describes itself as deploying and managing local sync agents for biometric, Tally and weighing integrations. The release card names the Latest version, when it was released and its size, with a download button.

The table has six columns. Agent is the name you gave it, with the machine hostname underneath, or Not registered where it has never connected. System is the platform and the agent version, with an Update badge where a newer release exists and a Latest marker where it is current. Location is where the machine appears to be, from its network address. Status is a dot and label. Last Activity shows when it was last seen, when it was installed and when it last updated itself.

Opening an agent shows its Agent Key and the Installation Command to run on the target machine, both copyable, with step-by-step installation instructions for Windows, Linux and macOS and a note that the agent connects automatically within sixty seconds.

Filters and actions

There are no filters. Deploy New Agent starts the wizard. Row actions are View Key and Install Command, Regenerate Key and Delete Agent. Regenerating invalidates the current key, so the agent must be reconfigured; deleting revokes the key and the agent stops syncing.

Status values

Waiting for installation - the agent has been created but has never connected. Online - connected and reporting. Offline - registered but not currently connected. Never connected - active but has not yet checked in. Revoked - the key has been withdrawn.
