SMS Campaigns

Create and manage SMS campaigns, send a single message, and see at a glance whether activation, wallet balance or a shared provider fault is blocking sends.

What this screen is for

The list holds your SMS campaigns with filters over it, and the header offers a new campaign or a single send once SMS is activated. Until it is, a banner replaces those actions and links to activation. Two further banners appear when relevant: one when the wallet is low or empty, stating roughly how many messages the balance covers, and one when several campaigns have failed for the same underlying reason, with a link to the screen that fixes it.

Why it matters

A send costs money from the wallet and will be rejected outright if the balance is empty, so the balance warning is worth clearing before launching. Sends also depend on an approved sender and template, which is why a campaign can look complete and still be refused.

What you see on this screen

Four cards, all reflecting the current filters: Total Campaigns with the draft and scheduled split, Messages Sent against the recipients they were aimed at with failures and not-yet-attempted broken out, Delivery Rate measured against recipients attempted, and Credits Used - one credit is one message segment, a long message costs more than one, and failed messages cost nothing because nothing was sent.

The table has seven columns: Campaign, Status, Type, Recipients, Delivery Rate, When and Actions. Where a campaign failed, the Recipients cell carries a Why link that names the single largest cause and how many recipients it affected, with a route through to every affected recipient.

The Type column is not decoration - hovering it states the rule that category carries. Promotional is marketing content needing prior consent and may only be sent between 9am and 9pm under DLT. Transactional is triggered by the recipient own transaction and has no time window. OTP is one-time passwords only. Service Explicit needs recorded opt-in; Service Implicit arises from an existing relationship and permits no marketing content.

Filters and actions

Show Filters reveals Search over campaign name or message, Status, Type (Promotional, Transactional, OTP) and From Date, with Reset. Row actions are View, Edit (drafts only), Duplicate, Retry - which sends only to the contacts that never received it - and Delete. Send Single SMS sends one message using a DLT template, showing a live preview with the character count, the segment count and a warning for any character outside the plain SMS set.

Status values

Draft - not sent. Scheduled - queued for its appointed time. Sending - in progress. Sent - finished. Cancelled - stopped before sending. Failed - the send was refused.
