Sales Report

A period summary of what you sold, broken down by status, customer, item and tax rate, for a document type and date range you choose. Exports to Excel, CSV or PDF.

What this screen is for

A period summary of what you sold. You choose the document type, the date range, a salesperson and a status, and the report breaks the result down four ways: by status, by customer, by item and by tax rate. The tax table splits CGST, SGST and IGST where they apply, so the totals line up with what was actually charged.

When to use it

Use it for a monthly or quarterly review, to check a salesperson's contribution, or to tie sales figures back to tax. Figures link through to the documents behind them, so a total that looks wrong can be traced rather than argued about, and the whole report exports to Excel, CSV or PDF.

What you see on this screen

Four cards open the report — Total Invoices, Total Sales, Total Paid and Total Due — followed by a second row counting Paid Invoices, Partially Paid and Unpaid Invoices, each with its money value beneath.

Below that:

  • Sales by Status — each status with its document count and value; click a line to see the documents behind it.
  • Top 10 Customers — ranked by value, with the number of bills. The name drills into their documents; the icon beside it opens the customer record.
  • Products vs Services — value, share, quantity and bill count for each kind of line. Selecting a tile narrows the table below to that kind.
  • Sales by Product — item, quantity, bills and total, with Round Off and Grand Total in the footer.
  • Sales by Tax Rate — rate, bills, taxable value, tax and total. CGST, SGST and IGST appear as separate columns for an Indian company only.
  • Payment Summary — payments received for this period's invoices, broken down by method with a bar each, and Total Received against Pending Due.

Filters and actions

A date range picker sits in the header, with Filters for Document Type, Salesperson and Status, and a Reset. Choosing anything other than booked sales puts a coloured warning at the top naming what the figures do and do not include.

Print offers a professional A4 report or a customer-wise sales list on a 3 inch till roll. Export produces Excel, CSV or a landscape PDF.
