What this screen is for
This report takes a period and splits sales across the days within it. The cards give total sales, the number of transactions, the average day and the highest day with its date. Below them, a table lists each day with its net sales and transaction count, totalled at the foot, followed by the revenue accounts that contributed most over the period.
When to use it
Use it when the pattern matters as much as the total — which days trade well, whether a promotion moved the figures, how a week compares with the one before. Choose the period with the date range picker in the header.
What you see on this screen
Four cards:
- Total Sales — sales across the whole period
- Transactions — how many sales transactions made it up
- Avg/Day — total sales divided across the days in the period
- Highest Day — the best single day's net sales, with its date beneath
Daily Breakdown lists one row per day:
- Date — the trading day
- Net Sales — sales credited to revenue accounts on that day
- Transactions — how many sales that figure came from
The foot of the table totals both columns and should agree with the Total Sales and Transactions cards.
Top Revenue Accounts follows where there is anything to show, listing Code, Account Name and Amount for the revenue accounts that contributed most across the period. It reads the same sales from the other direction — by account rather than by day — so its total covers the same money.
Filters and actions
The only control is the date range picker in the header, which reloads the report when you change it. Days with no trading do not appear, so a gap in the list is a day with no recorded sales rather than missing data.
