Promotions

A record of employees moving from one designation to another, with the date of the move and its approval status.

What this screen is for

This screen keeps the history of promotions. Each entry names the employee and their code, the promotion date, the designation moved from and the one moved to, and the status — pending, approved or rejected. You can search the list and filter it by status, and add a new promotion record.

When to use it

Record a promotion when someone changes role, so the change has a date and a trail rather than only appearing as a different title on their profile. Filter to pending when you need to see which promotions are still waiting on a decision.

What you see on this screen

  • Employee — the person's name, with their employee code beneath it.
  • Date — the date the promotion takes effect.
  • From — the designation held before.
  • To — the designation moved into.
  • Status — Pending, Approved or Rejected.
  • Actions — delete, which asks for confirmation and names the person.

Where nothing matches, the table is replaced by a short "no promotions found" message.

Filters and actions

  • Search — a box above the table; the list narrows as you type.
  • Status — All, Pending, Approved or Rejected.
  • Add Promotion — creates a new record.

Status values

  • Pending — recorded but not yet decided.
  • Approved — accepted.
  • Rejected — turned down.

Related

  • Designations — the job titles a promotion moves between
  • Transfers — the equivalent record for a change of location
  • Employees — where the person's current designation is held
