What this screen is for
A brand groups the projects you market under one name. The table lists the brand and its description, a short code, the contact name with a phone or email, how many projects and units belong to it, and whether it is active. The project and unit counts link through to the matching plots so you can go straight from a brand to its stock.
A brand that still has projects attached to it cannot be deleted, which keeps existing sales records intact.
When to use it
Set brands up before creating projects if you sell under more than one name, and come back here when a brand's contact details change or a brand is retired. Brand fields only appear on the project form once at least one brand exists.
What you see on this screen
- Brand — the brand name, with its description beneath.
- Code — the short code, or a dash where none is set.
- Contact — the contact name, with a phone number or email beneath.
- Projects — how many projects sit under the brand; the figure opens the unit register filtered to that brand.
- Units — how many units belong to it.
- Status — Active or Inactive.
Filters and actions
There is no search or filter here; the list is short by nature. Add Brand opens a form taking a name (required), a code, a description, a contact name, phone and email, and an Active tick that starts on. The row icons edit or delete. Deleting is refused while the brand still has projects, with a note to move them to another brand first.
Status values
- Active — the Active tick is on.
- Inactive — the tick has been cleared. The brand and everything recorded under it stay exactly as they were.
