What this screen is for
A milestone is a named checkpoint in a project. Each card shows the milestone name and the project it belongs to, its status, a description, and a progress bar reading how many of its tasks are done out of the total with a percentage. The due date sits at the foot of the card and is highlighted once it has passed.
Quick filters at the top limit the list to overdue milestones only, reveal deleted milestones so they can be restored, and switch the order between newest and oldest first.
When to use it
Use it when reporting progress against commitments — a milestone is what you point at when somebody asks whether a delivery date will hold.
What you see on this screen
Each milestone is a card:
- Milestone name and the project it belongs to.
- Status badge — its current status, or a Deleted badge where the milestone has been removed and you are showing deleted ones.
- Progress — how many of its tasks are completed out of the total, with a percentage; a milestone with nothing linked reads No tasks assigned instead.
- Due date — at the foot of the card, highlighted once it has passed.
Filters and actions
Three controls sit above the cards: Overdue Only, Show Deleted, and a sort toggle that flips between Oldest First and Newest First. A badge beside them counts how many deleted milestones there are. Deleted cards gain a Restore icon; live ones offer view, edit and delete. Deleting tells you how many tasks are linked before you confirm.
Status values
- pending — not started.
- in_progress — under way.
- completed — reached.
- overdue — passed its date without being completed.
Status names can be changed by your company. Overdue styling is worked out from the due date at the moment you look, so a milestone can read as overdue before anyone has changed its status.
