Sprint Report

A completion summary for one sprint: totals done, in progress and not started, the completion rate, plus what was added mid-sprint and what was carried over.

What this screen is for

The sprint report summarises a finished or running sprint. Seven figures head the page: total tasks, completed, in progress, not started, the completion rate, how many items were added after the sprint began, and how many were carried over from a previous one. A bar shows the completion rate, and a table lists every task in the sprint with its assignee, priority and status.

Choose a project and then a sprint to load it.

When to use it

Use it at a sprint review or retrospective. The added mid-sprint and carried over figures are the two that explain a disappointing completion rate: scope that arrived late, and work that never finished last time.

What you see on this screen

Seven figures head the page:

  • Total Tasks — everything in the sprint.
  • Completed — items that have finished.
  • In Progress — items being worked on.
  • Not Started — items still untouched.
  • Completion — completed as a percentage of the total.
  • Added Mid-Sprint — items created after the sprint's start date.
  • Carried Over — work in the sprint that has not been completed.

A Sprint Completion bar repeats the percentage, green from 80, amber from 50 and red below that. The table beneath lists the sprint's tasks under Task, Assignee, Priority and Status.

Filters and actions

Pick a project, then a sprint. Nothing else is filtered, and there is no export or print; until a sprint is chosen the page asks you to select one.

Read Added Mid-Sprint and Carried Over together with the completion rate. A sprint that finished half its work is telling you something quite different depending on whether the extra arrived after it started or was already unfinished when it began.
