Under Maintenance

The asset register filtered to items currently under maintenance, so you can see what is out of circulation and why.

What this screen is for

This opens the asset register showing only assets whose status is under maintenance — items being serviced or repaired and therefore not available to assign. The table lists each with its category and status, and the Status filter at the top of the register controls the selection. The Maintenance tile among the summary figures counts the same set.

When to use it

Use it when an asset cannot be found in the available pool, when chasing how long items have been away for repair, and when planning around equipment that is temporarily out of service.

What you see on this screen

The register's own columns: Asset (name, asset number and serial number), Category, Status with the condition in brackets beside it, Assigned To, Value, and the view, edit and delete actions. Opening an asset is how you see the maintenance record behind its status.

Filters and actions

The menu link arrives with the status already set to under maintenance. Show Filters lets you narrow to one category or search by name, asset number or serial number, and setting Status back to All Status returns the whole register.

Status values

  • Available — in stock and free to issue.
  • Assigned — issued to somebody.
  • Under Maintenance — the status this page opens on: being serviced or repaired, and not available to assign.
  • Disposed — sold, scrapped or written off.
