Goals

Sales targets and how far towards them you have got. Each goal has a metric, a period, a target value, and a progress bar showing attainment.

What this screen is for

A goal sets a target for a metric over a period. Each card shows the metric and the period it covers, whether it is company-wide or set for one representative, the amount achieved against the target, and a progress bar with the percentage attained. Bars change colour as a goal approaches and passes its target.

New goals take a metric, a period (monthly, quarterly or yearly presets, or your own start and end dates), a target value, and an optional label so the goal reads in your own words rather than as a bare metric name.

When to use it

Set goals at the start of a month or quarter and check them here as it progresses. Because attainment is scoped to the period, a low figure early in a period is expected rather than a problem.

What you see on this screen

Each goal is a card:

  • The heading — your own label for the goal where you gave it one, otherwise the metric's name.
  • The line beneath — the metric, the period it runs between, and whether it is company-wide or set for one representative.
  • The figures — what has been achieved, and beside it the target.
  • A progress bar — red under 30 per cent, amber under 60, the house colour under 100, and green once the target is met.
  • The percentage attained, with a flourish once you pass the target.

Filters and actions

New Goal opens a short form: a Metric, a Period set either by the Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly buttons or by typing the two dates yourself, a Target, and an optional Label so the goal reads in your own words. The bin icon deletes a goal.

There are no filters, no search and no sort.

Status values

The three metrics a goal can measure:

  • Revenue won — the value of deals that reached a stage marked as won.
  • Deals won — the number of those deals.
  • Leads created — leads that arrived in the period.

All three are counted inside the goal's own dates, so a low figure early in a period is simply the period being young.
