Lead Groups

Lead groups are kept as tags, so this opens the company tag list where the groups are created, renamed, coloured and retired.

What this screen is for

A lead group is a way of bundling leads that belong together — a campaign, a batch, an event. Groups are stored as tags, so this entry opens the shared tag list. Each entry there has a name, a colour, an optional description, and a count of how many times it is currently used; a search box finds one by name, and a tag can be made inactive rather than deleted.

Once a group exists, it appears in the Lead Group filter on the lead list, where each option carries its own count and untagged leads remain reachable as a choice of their own.

When to use it

Create the group before the leads arrive, so an import or a day's enquiries can be filed against it, and come back here to rename or retire one. Check the usage count before removing a group; it is attached to real leads.

What you see on this screen

Groups are shown as a grid of small cards, each carrying:

  • Colour dot — the colour the group is drawn in wherever it appears.
  • Group name.
  • Used N times — how many records currently carry it.

Filters and actions

A single search box finds a group by name. Add Tag creates one, and each card offers edit and delete.

The form takes a Name (required), a Color from a picker or one of ten presets, and an optional Description. Editing adds an Active tick, which retires a group without disturbing the leads already filed under it.

Deleting shows the usage count first and warns that it cannot be undone. Because the list is shared with tags used elsewhere in the system, a group created here is available wherever tags are offered — which is worth bearing in mind when naming one.
