WhatsApp Templates

The WhatsApp templates available to your campaigns, with the option to import what the provider already holds and, where supported, browse the provider own template library.

What this screen is for

This is the campaign template library filtered to WhatsApp. Alongside creating your own, you can import the templates your provider already has, so the app reflects what has actually been approved. Where your WhatsApp templates are hosted by the provider, a library browser is offered as well. Templates carry a status of draft, approved or rejected, and the list can be searched and filtered.

Why it matters

WhatsApp business messaging only permits approved template content, and approval sits with the provider rather than with this app. A template showing as draft here cannot be used to send, and importing is the reliable way to keep the two sides in step.

What you see on this screen

Four counters over the whole library: Total Templates, Email Templates, SMS Templates and WhatsApp Templates.

The table lists Template Name, Channel, Admin Approval, WhatsApp Status, Category, Last Updated and Actions. The two approval columns are deliberately separate. Admin Approval is an internal sign-off that applies to SMS only, so on a WhatsApp template it reads as a dash with a note pointing you at the other column. WhatsApp Status is what the provider says, and it is the one that decides whether you can send; where a template was rejected, the reason the provider gave can be opened.

Row actions cover submitting a template to the provider for approval, resubmitting a rejected one, refreshing its status from the provider, deleting it from the provider while keeping the local copy, and the usual View, Edit, Duplicate and Delete.

Filters and actions

Show Filters reveals Search, Channel and Status (All Status, Draft, Approved, Rejected), with Reset. Import from the provider pulls in what the provider already holds. Browse Library opens the provider own template library where that is supported. New Template creates one.

Status values

Locally a template is Draft, Approved or Rejected. At the provider it reads Not submitted, pending review, approved or rejected. Only a template approved by the provider can be used to send, whatever the local status says.
