What this screen is for
A course is a set of lessons assembled from your materials library, worked through in order, that finishes with a certificate. This screen lists them all, showing for each the number of lessons, its audience (everyone, staff only or students only), how many learners are enrolled, whether a certificate is issued and for how long it stays valid, and whether the course is published or still a draft. Search by title and filter by category or status.
When to use it
Use it to see what training exists, to find a course to edit, or to start a new one. Drafts are not visible to learners until published.
What you see on this screen
The table has these columns:
- Course — its title
- Audience — who can be enrolled, reading Everyone, Staff only or Students only
- Lessons — how many lessons it holds
- Enrolled — how many learners are on it
- Certificate — None, Never expires, or how many days a certificate stays valid for
- Status — published or draft
- an action column, whose Learners link opens the enrolment list for that course
Where nothing exists yet, the page explains what a course is and offers to build the first one.
Filters and actions
Three controls sit above the table: a search box matching on the title; a category select whose first option is All courses; and a status select offering Published and drafts, Published and Drafts. New Course starts a new one, for users allowed to manage courses.
Status values
A course is either Published, meaning learners can see and be enrolled on it, or a Draft, meaning it is invisible to them. Its audience is stored as all, staff or customers, shown as Everyone, Staff only and Students only.
