What this screen is for
This is the full list of applications. Each belongs to an applicant and, usually, to a job opening; general applications not tied to a vacancy are distinguished by a type filter. You can search by applicant name or application number and filter by job opening, stage and source.
Selecting rows opens a bulk bar that moves the selection to another stage or rejects it in one action, which is how a shortlist is usually cut down. The list can be exported as a CSV, and a board view of the same data is one click away.
When to use it
When you want to act on several candidates at once or filter across every vacancy. For moving one candidate along at a time, the board view is usually quicker.
What you see on this screen
- A tick box on each row, and one in the header that selects the whole page.
- Application — the application number.
- Applicant — the candidate's name, with their email underneath.
- Job Opening — the vacancy applied for, or a General tag where the application is not tied to one.
- Stage — where the candidate has reached, as a tag in the stage's own colour.
- Source — where the application came from, or a dash.
- Rating — the rating given, drawn as five stars, or a dash.
- Actions — view, edit and delete.
Filters and actions
- Search by applicant name or number — a box above the table.
- Show Filters — opens Job Opening, Stage, Source and Type (All Types, General, Job Specific), with a Reset button.
- Export CSV — exports the list as filtered.
- Board View — the same applications as draggable columns.
- New Application — records one by hand.
- Selecting rows opens a bar with Move to Stage, Reject and Clear. Move asks which stage to move them to; Reject asks for an optional reason and warns that rejection emails go out to each applicant.
- Delete — asks for confirmation and warns that it removes the related interviews and activities too.
Status values
An application does not carry a status of its own; where it has reached is its Stage, and the stages are the ones defined on the Stages screen, each with its own colour.
