Job Openings

The vacancies you are recruiting for, with employment type, work mode, number of vacancies, applications received and status.

What this screen is for

A job opening is a vacancy you are hiring against. Each row carries a job number, the title, the department, the employment type — full time, part time, contract, intern or freelance — the work mode of on-site, remote or hybrid, the number of vacancies, how many applications it has attracted, and its status: draft, open, on hold, closed or cancelled. You can search by title, job number or location and filter by status, type and mode.

When to use it

Create an opening before you start collecting candidates, so applications attach to something. Come back to close or put an opening on hold once it is filled, since the dashboard counts open jobs and their vacancies from here.

What you see on this screen

  • Job # — the job number.
  • Title — the role, a link to the opening, with its location underneath where one is set.
  • Department — the department hiring, or a dash.
  • Type — Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Intern or Freelance.
  • Mode — On-site, Remote or Hybrid.
  • Vacancies — how many people are wanted.
  • Applications — how many have applied.
  • Status — where the opening stands.
  • Actions — view, edit, duplicate and delete.

While nothing matches, the table is replaced by a prompt to create your first job opening.

Filters and actions

  • Search by title, job number or location — a box above the table; the list narrows as you type.
  • Show Filters — opens Status, Employment Type and Work Mode, with a Reset button.
  • New Job Opening — creates one.
  • Duplicate — copies an opening, which is quicker than retyping a role you hire for repeatedly.
  • Delete — asks for confirmation and repeats the job number, title and status.

Status values

  • Draft — being prepared, not yet published.
  • Open — live and accepting applications. These are what the dashboard counts.
  • On Hold — paused, without being closed.
  • Closed — filled or finished.
  • Cancelled — abandoned.
