What this screen is for
Targets for field salespeople, set either daily or monthly. A target has a value, and separately a count of orders, visits and new shops to open. Each row shows the target, what has been achieved and the progress between them.
When to use it
Set targets at the start of a period and review them here as it runs. Reps see their own number on the field app, and the daily performance report measures each day's work against whatever is recorded here. Leaving a target unset does not break anything — the work is still reported — but it is then reported without a bar to measure it against.
What you see on this screen
- Salesperson — the rep, with their employee code beneath.
- Period — Daily or Monthly, with the exact period it covers underneath.
- Target — the money figure they are asked to reach.
- Achieved — what they have actually booked in that period.
- Progress — a bar and a percentage. Where no money target was set it reads that plainly rather than showing a misleading zero.
- Orders / Visits / New — the three counts, each as achieved against target. These are separate from the money figure: a rep can hit the value and miss the coverage, and the row shows both.
- Actions — edit the target, or remove it.
Filters and actions
A month picker in the header chooses the period the list covers. Set Target opens the form, which takes the salesperson, the Period (Monthly or Daily), the period's date, the money target, and separate counts for Orders, Visits and New shops, plus a note and an Active tick.
A target switched inactive stops being measured against without being deleted, which is what you want when a rep is on leave or a period is abandoned partway through.
Status values
A target is either active or not. An active target is the one the field app shows the rep and the one the daily performance report measures the day's work against. An inactive target is kept for the record but is not used for measurement.
