What this screen is for
This screen summarises one month of trading into the boxes a general GST return asks for. It reads the tax components stored on each invoice and bill line, then shows standard-rated (taxable) supplies, zero-rated and exempt supplies, total supplies, output GST on sales, taxable purchases, input GST on purchases, and the net GST payable or refundable. Pick the month and year at the top; a print button gives you a clean copy.
It appears for companies registered in Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand. Indian registrations use the GSTR series instead, and Irish ones use VAT3.
When to use it
Use it when you are preparing the period's return and want the figures your books actually support. The screen prepares and reviews the return; it does not lodge anything with a tax authority.
What you see on this screen
The heading carries your company name, country and GST number.
Three cards sit under it: Output GST (on sales), Input GST (on purchases), and a third that reads Net GST Payable or Net GST Refund depending which way the month falls.
Return Summary, subtitled with the period and "sourced from recorded tax components", is a single table of rows:
- Standard-rated supplies (taxable sales) — sales that carry GST
- Zero-rated / exempt supplies — sales outside the standard rate
- Total supplies — the two added together
- Output GST (on sales) — tax charged to your customers
- Taxable purchases — the purchase side, net of tax
- Input GST (on purchases) — tax charged to you by suppliers
- Net GST payable, or Net GST refund — output less input
A footnote states that the figures are summed from the stored per-line tax components, so they reconcile with your sales and purchase ledgers.
Filters and actions
Month and Year selectors sit in the header; changing either reloads the period. Print produces a clean printed copy of the page. There is nothing to save here, and no data is sent anywhere: the screen only reads your books.
