My Timesheets

Your own time entries across every project, with totals for hours and billable hours, and filters for project and date range.

What this screen is for

This shows the time entries recorded against your employee record, newest first. Three figures sit above the table: total hours, billable hours and the number of entries. The table itself lists the date, the project, the description you wrote, the hours, whether the entry is billable, and its status. Filters narrow the list to one project or to a from and to date.

Entries appear here once they are booked against a project or a work item, so this is a record of what has been logged rather than a place to enter time.

When to use it

Use it at the end of a week or a month to check your own hours before they are approved or invoiced, and to confirm that billable work has been marked as such.

What you see on this screen

  • Date — the day the time was booked to.
  • Project — the project the entry belongs to.
  • Description — what you wrote against the entry, falling back to its notes.
  • Hours — the duration, to one decimal place.
  • Billable — a tick where the entry is billable, a dash where it is not.
  • Status — how far the entry has got through approval.

Of the three figures above the table, total hours and billable hours cover everything the dates allow; the entry count is the number of rows on the page you are looking at rather than the whole filtered set. The table pages at thirty rows.

Filters and actions

Show Filters reveals a project list limited to projects you have actually logged time against, a From Date, a To Date and a Reset. There is no status or billable filter here, and no edit or delete: the rows are a record. Corrections are made on the Time Entries screen, and only while an entry is still a draft.

Status values

  • draft — recorded but not yet sent for approval, and still editable.
  • submitted — sent for approval and awaiting a decision.
  • approved — accepted, and available to be invoiced.
  • rejected — sent back; as it stands it will not be billed.
  • invoiced — already billed to the customer.
