What this screen is for
This is the form an instructor fills in after a session. Choose the student, the instructor and the assessment template, and set the date; where the assessment follows a booking, the template is selected for you. Each skill on the template is then scored, with the option of marking an item critical or not applicable and adding a comment against it. Below that you record an overall result, instructor notes covering areas for improvement and things done well, the student's own comments about the session, and whether the student is test-ready.
When to use it
Fill it in while the session is fresh. The record becomes part of the student's history and feeds the progress charts.
What you see on this screen
Three cards.
Assessment Details, all four fields required: Student, Instructor (filled in for you where there is only one), Template, and Date, which defaults to today. Where the assessment follows a booking, a note says the template has been selected for you.
Score Skills appears once a template is chosen, headed with the scale it uses. Each item on the checklist shows its name, a Critical badge where the template marks it so, its category and description, and a slider running across the scale with the score beside it. Where the template allows, an N/A button marks an item as not applicable, with Score to undo that, and a comment box takes a note against that item. A running overall figure sits at the top of the card, with the points scored, the maximum, and how many items have been assessed.
Notes takes Instructor Notes (areas for improvement, things done well), Student Feedback (the student's own comments about the session), and a tick for Student is test-ready.
Filters and actions
There are no filters on a form. Cancel abandons it and Save Assessment records it. Choosing a template rebuilds the skill list, so pick that before scoring.
