Assigned Assets

The asset register filtered to items currently assigned to someone, showing who holds each one.

What this screen is for

This opens the asset register showing only the assets whose status is assigned — items currently issued to a member of staff rather than sitting available. The table lists each one with its category, its status and the person who holds it, and the Status filter at the top of the register is what controls the selection.

The Assigned tile among the register's summary figures counts the same set.

When to use it

Use it when reconciling who has what: before an audit, when someone leaves and their equipment must come back, and when you need to know whether an item is free before promising it to someone.

What you see on this screen

The register's own columns: Asset (name, asset number and serial number), Category, Status with the condition beside it, Assigned To — the column that matters here, naming the person holding the item — Value, and the view, edit and delete actions.

Filters and actions

The menu link arrives with the status already set to assigned. Show Filters lets you narrow further by category, or search by name, asset number or serial number. Setting Status back to All Status returns the whole register.

Status values

  • Available — in stock and free to issue.
  • Assigned — the status this page opens on: issued to somebody and not available to anyone else.
  • Under Maintenance — away being serviced or repaired.
  • Disposed — sold, scrapped or written off.

Related

  • All Assets — the register with no status applied
  • Under Maintenance — assets temporarily out of circulation
