Team Workload

How work items are distributed across team members, broken down by state, with overdue counts and estimated against actual hours.

What this screen is for

This report shows who is carrying what. A chart compares the load across the team, and the table gives each member a row: their total items, how many are to do, in progress, in review and done, how many are overdue, and their estimated against actual hours. You can narrow it to one project.

The overdue column and the estimated-versus-actual pair are the two that matter most: the first shows who is behind, the second whether the estimates for their work were realistic.

When to use it

Use it before handing out new work, and when someone is visibly struggling and you need to see whether the cause is volume, overdue items or under-estimated work.

What you see on this screen

The chart is a stacked bar chart, one column per person:

  • The horizontal axis is the team, one column each.
  • The vertical axis is Tasks — a count of work items.
  • The stack, bottom to top, is Todo (grey), In Progress (blue), Review (purple) and Done (green), so the height of a column is the person's load and the colours show what state it is in.

The table gives each person a row: Team Member, Total, Todo, In Progress, Review, Done, Overdue, Est Hrs and Actual Hrs. Overdue counts items past their due date that are not finished. The two hour columns are the sum of the estimates against the sum of what was actually logged. Total counts every item assigned to the person, so it can be larger than the four state columns added together.

Filters and actions

One control: the project. Leave it on all projects to see the whole team's load, or pick one to see who is carrying a particular piece of work. There is no export or print.
