What this screen is for
When a delivery arrives covering several work orders, entering each one separately is slow. This screen takes one entry date, an optional vendor to narrow the work orders offered, a warehouse and a note, then a grid of lines. Each line picks a work order and shows the product and quantity still remaining, and takes the quantity produced, the quantity rejected, the resulting good output, and the labour, material and forwarding costs, with a total per line. A count of valid lines is shown as you build the batch.
When to use it
Use it for vendor delivery receipts and any occasion where several work orders are being updated together. For a single entry, the ordinary production entry form is reached from the header.
What you see on this screen
Batch Details takes the Entry Date (required), an optional Filter by Vendor which narrows the work orders the lines offer, a Warehouse the output is received into, and a free-text Notes field for the delivery reference.
Production Lines is the grid, with a count of valid lines beside its heading. Each line carries:
- Work Order — chosen from a searchable list showing each order's number, product and remaining quantity, with its planned and completed figures beneath once selected
- Product — filled in from the work order
- Remaining — how much of the order is still outstanding, so you can see what this delivery leaves
- Produced — the quantity delivered on this line
- Rejected — how many of them failed
- Good — produced less rejected, worked out for you
- Labour, Material, Forwarding — the three costs booked on the line
- Total — those three added together
A totals row runs beneath the grid, and a summary gives Lines, Total Produced, Total Good and Total Cost for the whole batch.
Filters and actions
Add Line and Add another line extend the grid; each line can be removed. The save button names how many entries will be created. Single Entry in the header switches to the one-at-a-time form, and Back returns to the production entries list.
