What this screen is for
This is the project register. Four summary tiles show how many projects match the current filter, their income and expense, and the net profit or loss, with a warning when any are over budget. You can switch between a card grid and a list, search by name, and filter to open projects, to all statuses, or to one exact status. Sorting offers newest first, name, recently active, most open work and, where money exists, highest value. A brand filter appears only for companies that use brands.
A line beneath the filters explains anything the list is leaving out: projects hidden by the filter, projects outside your access, and projects that were deleted but whose codes remain in the sequence.
When to use it
Use it to find a project, to compare profitability across the portfolio, or to check why a project code appears to be missing.
What you see on this screen
In list view the columns are:
- Project — the name with its project code.
- Client — the customer the work is for.
- Status — the current status; hidden when you have filtered to exactly one.
- Income, Expense, Profit/Loss — the money recorded against the project.
- Budget — the amount set aside for it.
- Deadline — the end date, or No deadline.
Card view carries the same figures and adds the work done out of the total with a percentage, how many items are still open, the team size, a timeline reading days left or days overdue, and the budget with the percentage used.
The first tile changes caption with the filter — Projects, Open projects, or the status you picked — and notes how many are over budget.
Filters and actions
Search by name; filter by status, where Open Projects is the default and excludes completed and cancelled work; sort by Newest first, Name (A–Z), Recently active, Most open work, or Highest value, the last appearing only where the filtered set carries money. A Brand filter is shown only to companies that use brands. The two icons beside New Project switch between cards and the list.
Status values
- Active — running.
- Completed — finished.
- On Hold — paused.
- Cancelled — stopped.
Status names are set by your company, so yours may read differently.
