Terminology

Rename the core entities to match your industry, for example calling employees instructors or customers clients. The words you set here are used throughout the app.

What this screen is for

Each core entity has a singular and a plural word, and either can be replaced with your own. Quick presets fill everything in for a particular industry in one step, and a reset returns every entry to its default. Leaving a field blank keeps the default word. Entries that differ from the default are flagged as custom.

Why it matters

These words are not cosmetic labels on one screen. They are used across menus, page headings, table columns, forms and messages, so renaming customer to client changes how the whole app reads for everyone in the company. Applying a preset overwrites terms you have already tuned, because anything the preset does not cover is reset to its default.

What you see on this screen

A Quick presets card comes first, described as filling everything for your industry so you can then fine-tune below. The presets are Generic (default), Driving School, Hospital or Clinic, Pharmacy or Medical Store, Field Service, Construction or Labour, and Retail or Shop, alongside a Reset to defaults button.

Below is the editor, a table with three columns: Entity, Singular and Plural. Six entities can be renamed, each with a line explaining what it covers:

  • Employee / Employees - staff records, for example Instructor, Nurse, Doctor, Labourer, Service Engineer
  • Product / Products - the things you sell or offer, for example Lesson, Item, Medicine, Service
  • Category / Categories - how products are grouped, for example Service Type, Department
  • Customer / Customers - who you sell to, for example Client, Student, Patient, Member
  • Vendor / Vendors - who you buy from, for example Supplier, Contractor
  • Booking / Bookings - scheduled slots, for example Appointment, Session, Lesson, Job

Each row shows its default underneath and is tagged either custom or default.

Filters and actions

There is no search or filter. A preset button fills every row for that industry at once. Save Terminology in the header commits the change; the note at the foot of the page states that a blank field falls back to the default word, and that changes apply across the app after saving, so open tabs need a refresh before they read correctly.
