What this screen is for
Choose Run health check and the system scans your books for problems such as missing journal entries and unlinked ledger accounts, then lists each check with its result. The scan itself is read-only, and the page states so plainly: nothing is altered until you explicitly confirm a fix on a particular finding. The date of the last scan is shown so you know how current the report is.
When to use it
Reach for this when a report does not look right, after importing or migrating data, or as a periodic check before closing a period. Run it first, read the findings, and only then decide which fixes to apply.
What you see on this screen
Four counters summarise the report: Checks passed, With issues, Critical and Total findings. Under them sits one card per check, each with its name, a count of findings and a short description of what it looks for.
The checks cover documents that never posted to the ledger (invoices, purchase bills, credit notes, debit notes, payments and opening balances), journal entries that are unbalanced or empty, customers and vendors missing their own ledger account, missing core ledger accounts such as receivables, payables, sales, purchases and round-off, journal type and financial year setup, duplicate account codes, and invoices whose stored paid amount disagrees with the payments recorded against them.
Expanding a card lists the records concerned, showing the first few and stating how many more there are.
Filters and actions
Run Health Check in the header starts a scan and reads Scanning while it works. There are no filters. Where a finding can be repaired automatically a Fix button appears on that card; it opens a confirmation naming the check, the number of findings and exactly what the repair will do, and warns that this writes to your books, with journal entries dated to match the source document.
Status values
Each check reports one of four outcomes: ok (nothing found), issues (findings to look at), skipped (the check could not run) and error. Findings carry a severity of critical, warning or info - critical means figures in your books are currently wrong.
