What this screen is for
This screen reads e-way bills from the GST portal. Two tabs separate My e-Way Bills from those Generated by Others against your GSTIN. Pick a date and fetch, or search a specific e-way bill number. The list shows the bill number, document number and date, consignor and consignee with their GSTINs, value, vehicle, status and the date it is valid until. Opening one shows every field the portal returns, including the item and transport details.
When to use it
Use it when a consignment is queried, when you need to know whether a bill is still valid, or to see what a counterparty has raised against your registration. Authentication with the GST portal is required before anything can be fetched.
What you see on this screen
The header reads E-Way Bills, subtitled "Generate, track & manage e-way bills".
Four counters: Total, Active, Expired and Cancelled.
The list has these columns:
- EWB No. — the e-way bill number
- Doc No. / Date — the document the bill covers and its date
- From — the consignor, with GSTIN
- To — the consignee, with GSTIN
- Value — the consignment value
- Vehicle — the vehicle number recorded
- Status
- Valid Until — the date the bill ceases to be valid
- Actions — View opens E-Way Bill Details, which shows every field the portal returns for that bill, including item and transport detail
E-Way Bill Guidelines at the foot summarise the rules on Part A and Part B, cancellation, validity by distance, and consolidated bills.
Filters and actions
Two tabs: My E-Way Bills and Generated by Others, each showing its count. Pick a Date and press Fetch Bills to load that day, or use Search by EWB Number to go straight to one bill. Show Filters reveals a search box covering EWB number, document number, party name and vehicle, with Reset to clear it. Refresh re-reads what is loaded, and Back to List returns from a detail view. Nothing can be fetched without an open GST portal session; Authenticate via OTP opens one.
Status values
The counters group bills as Active, Expired and Cancelled, and each row carries the status the portal reports for that bill.
