What this screen is for
Under QRMP a taxpayer files returns quarterly but pays tax every month. This screen answers the monthly payment question. It fetches, live from the GST portal, the tax liability for the month you have selected together with your electronic cash ledger and input tax credit ledger balances. Cards at the top show total liability, cash ledger balance and ITC ledger balance, and tabs break each one down: the liability by head, the cash ledger balance by tax head, and the credit ledger.
When to use it
Open it in a month where a payment is due and you need to know how much is owed and how much of it your existing balances already cover. Fetching requires an authenticated GST portal session; move between months with the previous and next buttons.
What you see on this screen
The header reads QRMP - Tax Payable, subtitled "Quarterly Return with Monthly Payment", with your GSTIN and the month in view.
Three cards: Total Tax Liability, Cash Ledger Balance and ITC Ledger Balance.
Three tabs follow.
Tax Payable — a table headed with the period, columns Description, IGST, CGST, SGST and Cess, one row per liability line, closing with a Total row. Lines the portal does not name are numbered Liability 1, Liability 2 and so on. The raw portal response is available beneath, under Tax Payable Response.
Cash Ledger — Cash Ledger Balance by Tax Head and Balance, covering IGST, CGST, SGST/UTGST and Cess, with the raw response under Raw Cash Ledger Data.
ITC Ledger — ITC (Credit) Ledger Balance in the same shape, with the raw response under Raw Credit Ledger Data.
Where a ledger has not been fetched, the tab says so and points you at the fetch button rather than showing zeros.
Filters and actions
Month and year selectors choose the period, and Previous and Next step through months. Fetch from GST Portal pulls the liability and both ledgers for the selected month; while it runs the page reports what it is retrieving. Fetching needs an open GST portal session, and the screen will ask for your portal username and the OTP sent to your registered mobile if one is not already open.
