What this screen is for
This screen decides what recruitment sends automatically. Email can be switched on or off for each event separately: a new application received, an interview scheduled, an interview reminder, an offer letter sent, a candidate's response to an offer, and a rejection. WhatsApp has its own switches for interview reminders and confirming receipt of an application, and depends on an approved message template.
Timing is set alongside: how long before an interview a reminder goes out, from fifteen minutes to a day, and whether the acknowledgement to a candidate is sent automatically when they apply.
When to use it
Set it once when recruitment is being configured, and revisit it if candidates or the hiring team say they are getting too much or too little.
What you see on this screen
The settings are grouped into three panels, each switch with a line underneath saying what it does.
Email Notifications
- New application received — notifies the hiring team when someone applies.
- Interview scheduled — sends a confirmation to the candidate and the interviewers.
- Interview reminder — a reminder before a scheduled interview.
- Offer letter sent — confirms when the offer email goes out.
- Offer response — notifies when a candidate accepts or declines.
- Rejection notification — sends a rejection email to declined candidates.
WhatsApp Notifications, tagged as requiring the Meta Cloud API:
- Interview reminder via WhatsApp — needs an approved message template.
- Application received via WhatsApp — confirms receipt of an application.
Timing & Automation
- Interview reminder timing — 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or 1 day before.
- Auto-send application received email — emails candidates automatically when they apply.
- Auto-send rejection email — emails candidates automatically when they are rejected.
Filters and actions
There are no filters. Save Preferences, at the foot of the form, writes every switch at once; nothing takes effect until it is pressed.
