What this screen is for
Stages are the steps an application passes through. This screen lists them in order, each with a colour, an optional description and a count of the applications currently sitting in it. Arrows move a stage up or down, which changes the order everywhere the pipeline is shown. Stages marked as system are part of the built-in flow and cannot be edited or deleted; your own can be.
Why it matters
The kanban board draws one column per stage, in this order and these colours, and the recruitment dashboard's pipeline distribution counts against them. Changing the order here changes both.
What you see on this screen
The stages are a list rather than a table, in pipeline order. Each row carries:
- Up and down arrows on the left, greyed out at the ends of the list.
- A numbered square in the stage's own colour, giving its position.
- The stage name, with a System tag beside it where the stage is built in, and its description underneath.
- A count of the applications currently in that stage, on the right.
- Edit and delete buttons, shown only on stages that are not system ones.
Adding or editing a stage opens a form with Name (required), Color — chosen from a picker or typed as a hex value — and Description.
Filters and actions
There are no filters; the list is short and always shown in full.
- Add Stage — creates one.
- The arrows reorder the pipeline immediately.
- Edit and Delete — offered on your own stages only.
- Delete asks for confirmation, repeats the stage name and its application count, and refuses while any applications are still in it.
