What this screen is for
This screen produces and keeps the year-end tax forms your jurisdiction requires. Each record shows the form type and the country it belongs to, the fiscal year, the period it covers, the gross earnings and the tax withheld, and a status of draft, generated or filed. Filters narrow by fiscal year, form type and status.
A form is generated by choosing the type, the period and the employee. Forms already marked as filed cannot be deleted.
When to use it
At the end of the tax year, once the year's payroll is complete, since the figures are drawn from it. Statutory forms accumulate one per employee per year, so expect this list to grow and to need paging.
What you see on this screen
- Form — the form type with its country code in brackets, so W-2, Form 16 and P60 are told apart at a glance.
- Fiscal Year — the year the form covers, in your jurisdiction's own notation.
- Period — the start and end dates the figures were drawn from, as calendar dates.
- Gross — gross earnings for the period, in your company's currency.
- Tax — tax withheld, shown in red.
- Status — where the form has reached.
- Actions — view; delete is offered on everything except a filed form.
Where nothing matches, the table is replaced by a short message saying no tax forms have been generated yet.
Filters and actions
- Fiscal Year — typed in, in the form your jurisdiction uses.
- Form Type — All Types, or one of the form types offered for your countries.
- Status — All, Draft, Generated or Filed.
- Reset — clears all three.
- Generate Form — produces a new form for a chosen type, period and employee.
Status values
- Draft — started, figures not finalised.
- Generated — built from payroll and ready to issue.
- Filed — submitted. A filed form can no longer be deleted.
