What is a Quotation?

A Quotation (also called Estimate or Proforma Invoice) is a formal document provided to potential customers indicating the proposed prices for goods or services. It's not a legally binding document but represents a business proposal that can be converted to a sales order upon customer acceptance.

Quotation Workflow:

Lead/Opportunity → Quotation → Sales Order → Delivery Note → Invoice

Step 1: Navigate to Quotation

Access the Quotation module from your LaabamOne dashboard.

Click on Sales in the left sidebar
Select Quotation from the dropdown menu
Click the New Quotation button (+ icon)
The quotation form opens with auto-generated number

Step 2: Select Customer/Lead

2 minutes

Choose existing customer or create a new lead for potential customers.

For existing customers: Select from dropdown and details auto-populate
For prospects: Create a new lead with contact information
Lead can be converted to customer after first sale

Pro Tip: Use Lead management for prospects who haven't made a purchase yet. Convert to Customer after first sale.

Additional Steps

Step 3-7: Configure Quote Details

Set quotation date and validity period (30/60/90 days)
Add products/services from catalog or create custom items
Enter quantities and unit prices with price lists
Apply promotional or volume discounts
Configure appropriate tax settings

Step 8-11: Terms & Customization

Specify payment terms and installment options
Include delivery timeline and shipping method
Add warranty, return policy, and legal terms
Customize template with company logo

Step 12-15: Finalize & Track

Review total amount and all calculations
Save and submit quotation
Email to customer or download PDF
Track status and convert to Sales Order when accepted
